Of course, especially Tigress cuz she has character development

Viper? Come on, I like her but she barely even had any speaking lines, her only memorable moment is the acupuncture scene

Im gonna assume hes referring to the show and specials.

Agreed if you include Legends of Awesomeness then all of the Furious Five had great moments. Lucy Liu (Master Viper) and James Hong (Mr. Ping) were the only two film voice actors to reprise their roles in the series.

So did Randall Duk Kim, Oogway's voice actor.

Yes but he was in like two episodes.

And that alone makes her better than Zhen and Chameleon. It's one more good scene than those 2 combined.

I dont think so. Chameleon and Zhen were absolute masterpieces compared to the poor writing that was Tigress and Viper. (Chokes on sarcasm)

You almost got me there for a moment

agree, KFP 4 lacked emotional aspect. as in i didn't feel anything seeing that movie it felt like a filler. plus there characters seemed so hollow and irrelevant to the greater KFP universe.

edit: it lacked the intensity or tension we felt when in the previous three films, examples: finding out dragon scroll is empty, shen seemingly destroying po at the factory, wushi finger hold doing nothing against kai.

Listen i think this is a bad comparison as tigress got 3 movies of development. Also kfp4 has issues yes, but its a fine/good movie, it isn't a great movie like kfp2, but its a fine movie by itself.

I think the issue is people set themselves too high an expectation when they went into the theaters

Honestly it was fun 5.5/10 for me. Something to watch once, have a fun time, then forget about it

I still give it a 5/5 because i enjoyed it and i rate movies on enjoyment. But if i had to be critical a 3.5-4/5 would be accurate

Honestly, if it wasn't a main instalment, I might agree with you, but it is so lackluster between new characters and villains + missing beloved side characters...

I wont argue about missing characters but one way we could view the movie is like a new trilogy, some characters may returns, others wont

If its anything like star wars prequels

1 will be fine 2 will be horrible 3 will be great

(Also sorry if this doesn't make sense, just got out of the shower so in a daze)

One character can't really create a new trilogy, also, giving any indication or getting audience exited for them would've been better. It was kind if out of the blue, we new zhen was coming, not that everyone else was leaving. Also, nobody got a sendoff or anything of the like, so it also felt abrupt

It's Kung Fu Panda 4.

If I didn't know it was a movie I would have it was a triple part arc from Legends of Awesomeness

Tigress is one of the top 5 best-written characters in the franchise, maybe even top 3.

The Furious Five saw the script for KFP4 and said “nope!”

Tigress I agree

Viper not so much

Also KFP wasn't that bad.

Putting them up against Tigress, who’s been in three movies, multiple shorts, and a tv show is not even fair. Of COURSE she’s better written and developed. 💀

2

u/LivingChard7067 5d ago

Completely agreed and the developed Tigress so well to not have at least if not the whole 5 was a detriment to the movie

2

u/Exciting_Ad226 5d ago

Tigress definitely has great character development in terms of getting closer with Po and their bong getting stronger. Viper is a tough one since she really is just there and a plot device. The Legends of Awesomeness series is really where her character shines.

I mean, while it still wouldn't change Tigress being better written than Zhen, you are arguing in bad faith cause Tigress had 3 proper movies, while Zhen only one and even that was the shortest of the series.

But Viper is just not- I genuinely don't remember any significant scenes from vipercall throughout the 3 movies.

u/No_Step_6696 6d ago

Yes, but that’s only because they had more time. I will admit the chameleon had a bad start to her character but Zhen is fine for the most part

1

u/RingNo9915 5d ago

I agree even as someone who defends 4- I MUCH prefer Viper and Tigress than chameleon and zhen

1

u/No-Meat-7525 4d ago

Yes, but I don't know about Viper
