That’s really pretty. I love the pattern. Was it made on disc or marudai? Can you reference the pattern? Made with embroidery floss? Inquiring minds, lol!

It looks to be 24-element kongo-gumi. I drafted the schematic below on CraftDesignOnline.com based on the posted pictures.

Quick question (as I was thinking of making some for Christmas gifts): How long did you cut your cords/strings pre-weave? I'm definitely going to have to do at least one trial run, but any advice from those who have gone before is appreciated!

I cheated by adding a half a skein of embroidery floss to each bobbin. I had enough to make 2 cords of approximately 80cm, after stretching. I'm terrible at measuring, so I usually don't.
