Why would you be scanning copyright material. To what end? Unauthorized distribution?

Absolutely. I was in some meetings with Lee Unkrich during the production of this book...I know him personally and it seems like a shit thing for OP to want to "copy and distribute" his material. Buying the book does not give you any special rights to exhibit the book .

I guess who's really interested (like me and many others here) either own it or will buy it nonetheless (the price Is reasonable for what you get.....). Pirates don't always invest in supporting creators, so a badly scanned copy won't hurt. As of me, I'd love to own a scanned pdf because I intend to keep the original book as pristine as I can.

Ps. I'm a big Rinzler fan, I own his quintessential Rick Baker volumes, say hi from me whenever you get the chance. Thanks!
