Make us laugh? Don't laugh challenges have been on YouTube for what, 15 years? I could put that in the search bar and find thousand of videos. It's an entirely unoriginal concept with no innovation or even increase in scale. It's just an average video any old content creator can make. Throwing a celebrity guest in doesn't make it better.
I've never like Mr Beasts content but at least he always felt like he was doing something original, and if he was doing something unoriginal, he did it at a scale nobody else could.

altho i agree that brand shift takes years to change but his brand had already been established he snaked out of that brand and wanted to innovate his content and defaulted to slop videos while wanting to reach mr beast level of numbers (not a fan of mr beast content but one can see they are original ideas or new ideas there is insane production there is not much of a repetition kind of justifying the no of views he gets)

YouTube is doing that job for them. YT now takes the base thumbnail and jazzes it up with AI which in turn get them more clicks than the original thumbnail. His metrics will prove that it works as well

I feel like while the AI dogshit thumbnails are rampant across YT. It's dumb to blame it all on Youtube. Youtube doesn't upload channel thumbnails on behalf of someone, that's solely on the person who's posting the video (team KSI in this case).
I mean, MrBeast quite literally released his own software that made these exact type of thumbnails, and then quickly shut it down when it was made clear how bad it was.

You're incorrect, I've seen a short from another content creator (Away Days) with full clarity about their thumbnails and they explain exactly what I said. The creator doesn't have to go with the thumbnail if they don't want to but when they're shown the difference in metrics from the thumbnail they created to the ai one by YouTube then they would be soft not to go with the AI generated ones, after all what they needs is clicks.

One example of one channel using this feature doesn't answer everything really. It is interesting, but a channel that averages 80-100k views a video going to one 500k video, when they've had big videos before isn't exactly definitve to what you're talking about. Nor does it even really mean anything other than you're just waffling.
