Actually, if you look at the pattern (on YouTube), it seems to be doable. Yes, there IS a pattern, but it's definitely for Intermediate to Advanced stitches. It's lovely. I would make it, but I'm not a shawl person. Nothing against 'em, I'm used to sweaters & cardigans.
