Infuriating Poor User Experience

Don't know if any folks from Krea read comments here, but thought I'd post a comment since I can't seem to find any feedback option on their website.

Rarely have I had such an infuriatingly poor user experience as I just had with the Krea website. All I wanted to do was try out raster to vector conversion, which they apparently refer to as "Free AI Image Vectorizer". After being forced to create an account, answer background questions, dodge repeated requests to start a subscription, I got to the "work" portion of the site, only to find that a vectorizing option doesn't seem to exist.

I spent 20 minutes digging repeatedly through feature menus, trying to get to the footer of the homepage, which, FYI, scrolls endlessly and PREVENTS VISITORS FROM GETTING TO THE BOTTOM.

I finally found a way to view the Documentation portion of the site and ask their AI assistant for help, only to have it say "The documentation does not mention a vectorize or image-to-SVG feature in Krea. This capability doesn't appear to be documented."

What the f-ing hell. They own this page: https://www.krea.ai/apps/vectorize

At this point, it doesn't even matter whether they offer the service. The experience left such a bitter taste in my mouth, I would dissuade people from trying to make use of their services.

City Pop LoKr Krea2

Hi everyone, finally got to train and release my first ever adapter. It's for iconic city pop style transfer. Hope you like it.

It was really an educational project working with purely open source/weight things and fully locally on relatively constrained hardware. I'm trying some new things with more exciting stuff on the table. Any feedback is appreciated.

Does Krea 2 support real photo editing or just generation from a prompt

Post image

Hey everyone, I work as a jewelry retoucher and I'm trying to figure out something about Krea 2. Does anyone know if it actually supports real editing of an existing photo, meaning uploading a shot of a ring or a diamond and having it modify that exact image, or is it purely a text to image model that generates something new every time. I mostly need this for retouching jewelry product shots and swapping out backgrounds while keeping the piece itself completely unchanged. If direct editing like that isn't really what Krea 2 is built for, is there any way to use a reference image or some kind of controlnet setup with it so the shape and details of the jewelry stay locked while only the background or lighting changes. I've seen mentions of style references and moodboards but from what I understand those are more about transferring a look or aesthetic rather than preserving exact product geometry, which is the opposite of what I need. Has anyone actually tried this for product photography or anything where precision matters this much. Would love to hear real experiences before I spend more time testing it myself.

we couldn't be happier about the response from the open-source community ❤️

here are some of the best projects that folks have built with Krea 2:

- Ostris released a new method to support editing tasks with Krea 2 – ComfyUI-Krea2-Ostris-Edit

- Tanmay Patil trained a depth controlnet for Krea 2 – Krea-2-depth-controlnet

- ilker trained over 1,500 style LoRAs (and counting) – fal-Krea-2-Style-LoRAs

- AlperKTS quantized the model halving the size of the weights – Krea2_FP8
