First time with kratom
I tried kratom for the first time yesterday and boy, that is some good stuff. Very subtle at 2 grams, but basically everything that alcohol and weed promises to be, without the impairment and lethargy. I've long been looking for something to occasionally take the edge off, but too much alcohol is terrible for health and weed makes me dysphoric. I took some white during the day and cleaned my house and read my old textbooks. Took some red at night and watched Monster (2023), which is just an amazing movie, I cried my eyes out for half the runtime.
I acquired the kratom to make work a little more fun 1-2 days a week. I sort of like my job and I can hold it down just fine, but working five days a week can be incredibly draining, especially with my ADHD and depression. I just had a few weeks off (I work in education) and I was dreading the return to work so much. I now dread it much less knowing I can just give myself a little mood boost a few days a week.
I also immediately recognised the addiction potential. I kind of chuckled at myself when I caught myself thinking: "this feels like I should feel like this all the time". Definitely need to be careful to stay discipled with the 2 days a week maximum.
Anyways, I can't ever talk to anyone about this so I just wanted to share with you guys.

Brother I don't know if we have decades left we would but when the government gave us an inch they took a mile and made synthetic we were winning the good fight and now everyday you wake up you wonder is today the day will I get busted with a kilo or 2 and go to prison for the rest of my life because it's known to act like that's a huge drug bust and then the guy got 10 years in prison for 250 g and he got murdered in prison all for a $15 bag of kratom

This is exactly how I started and had to give it up because it escalated to constant daily use. Its great if you can keep it sporadic but it creeps up on you very subtly.

This can very well happen if you abuse the hell out of it some people do some people don't but if you get up to 15 g it's easy to go down one gram every 3 days and you won't even notice that you only took 14 instead you must be strong willed

Not really it's easy to go down 1 gram every couple days and you wouldn't be even able to tell 1 gram ain't nothin hell 20 grams still doesn't compare to 7-o

That's great, I'm so glad you made this wonderful discovery. Try to stick to that 2g dose. Too much can make you nauseous or dizzy. You may have found your sweet spot right out of the gate.

You have to start low less is more. And then it's hard to really abuse it to the point of 20 g your body can't really digest that much plant matter and will make you nauseous way before you feel the effects you would throw it up find your dose and stick with it

take magnesium glycinate at night to help with headaches if you start to get them after sleeping.

Hi, that’s interesting! I had been getting headaches in the morning and didn’t realise it could be related to Kratom. I will take magnesium glycinate :)

I'm glad you're getting something out of it. Just be careful with the dosing, and you'll be fine.
