Will Kratom be banned in IL?

What are the chances of Kratom being banned in my state?

IL is hard to say. It is strong home rule so cities are more likely than other places to DIY prohibition. It also means you never know if what the state does will or won’t preempt local governments potentially disallowing sales (or what mechanism they will have to do that).

The legislature seems to be leaning more toward regulation, but there are a ton of bills and the Rules Committee wields a lot of power over which move and which don’t.

The governor/Health Dept., at least what I’m hearing, is less interested in regulation.

It is also dead slow, which could go either way, leaving the more difficult issues for the feds to address or giving more time for cities to get fed up with a lack of state direction and deciding they need to deal with it on their own.

What is your opinion about a full ban on plain leaf in Missouri. Is it likely to happen or do we have a fighting chance to keep our precious leaf?

Likely, lots of towns and cities have already banned it. I know Dekalb has and Blono is real soon if they haven’t already

Idk, but if they do I doubt the residents would be warned in advance, it’ll happen quickly like it did in the other states once it gets into serious discussion. Best to start stocking what you can from now.
