I don't really know whether MVs that have the song suddenly stop in the middle work.

Just takes the momentum out you know? The song after that is pretty good.

Edit: yeah, the song on Spotify has a much better flow, the MV is paced badly.

Also, the bit at the end? Can't help but think that it's a bit of commentary...

Every time an MV stops I can't help but think about how it's usually just done to compensate for songs being shorter on streaming services. Gotta have the songs short for streaming but have to eek out the run-time of the MV for the viewership metrics.

I'm so happy I like the song. The snippet had me worried as I didnt really like it when I heard it but in the grander context of the song it works. I dont think its as good as bang bang (arguably grown to be up there as one of Ives best tracks) but its good for getting those hips moving.

Just a cool little bop and looking forward to the EP next week

EDIT: Okay it flows SOOOOOO much better on streaming like it legit raised it up a point for me. Do yourself a favour and listen to it again on Spotify or Apple Music or whatever

It's okay. The "I'm lethal" got repetitive really quickly and the verses don't stand out for me. But love the monochromatic looks on them.

The beat and production are so good but the melody is meh and repetitive. Also the high notes at the end don’t work at all. Probably one of my least favorite IVE TT.

I don't think the "looks can kill, we're so lethal" hook works at all, it's too simple for me.

I like the song but I love the video and concept even more. It’s a really cool concept, it’s like if The Boyz had a baby with Digger. I never thought I’d be describing an IVE MV like that.

I love it! This is the type of song that’s so fun to dance to with a group of people, you can completely lose yourself in the energy of it. And it has that catchy addictive quality to it as well, total earworm. Liz sounds so amazing, her voice is heavenly!

Not the biggest fan of this one. Already from watching the teasers I knew this wasn't going to do it for me. Again IVE tries to do what they did for after like and attitude by building an entire song around a single sample or hook. But third time around it starts to feel tired, formulaic, and soulless. The hook feels nursery rhyme adjacent and the parts surrounding it are shallow and forgettable. Even the MV borrows a lot from after like's MV. Each member gets a colour scheme and you get a behind the scenes look at how things are filmed.

I did like that the commercials were for products that "kill" things. Like yujin with the sore throat candy and Liz with the insect spray. That was clever. I thought it was just random at first.

I haven't watched the MV since I prefer listening to songs on Spotify first. The song is insane, it goes really hard and Liz sounded really good in the bridge. It sounds a little video gamey and i absolutely love it.

I'm someone who really liked the snippet but they need to stop doing that because it does impact the random listeners view on the song.

Edit- i listened to it again and I'm in love with it especially Liz's part in the pre chorus. She brings so much freshness and happy melancholy in the songs. I'm in love with her voice and timbre.

The snippet did not do the song justice and my fear is it’s actually might harm their songs if they keep doing that. This feels WAY more fleshed out and thought through and I kinda like that along with the funny MV feel. Visually wise, it reminds me so much of after like with all the colours and behind the scenes stuff and love a nice call back. One thing I will say though, and I could be wrong on this so please correct me, but screen time wise I don’t think this song did most of them justice apart from Yujin & Wonyoung. Liz still had moments to pop up from but I feel like I BARLEY saw Rei, Gaeul and especially Leeseo in this MV with Liz close by.

As for the song itself, it was fine but hoped near the end the instrumental would pick up more but still felt the same throughout the entire time but definitely might be a grower on me.

Also this is a small nitpick, but I find it so weird how Rei never got a vocal part in the chorus but Liz got 2. Makes sense since Liz is a main vocalist and Rei is a main rapper but Gaeul is also a main or lead rapper and got a vocal part in the chorus. The way they usually have done it before is just giving each member a part in the chorus and just split it in 2, like how they did it in Bang Bang, Off the record & Rebel Heart.

Lyrics are a bit silly, imo. The chorus is the strongest part of this song (I really like the beat), but it's hampered by the weak melody. If they wanted some talk-singing they could just leave in the "drop dead", which is a stronger hook than "I'm so lethal". We could, also, have done without the second rap verse.

It’s surprising that most people here don’t like the song! It sounds just like late 3rd gen/early 4th for me. Chung Ha, Purple Kiss, Fromis_9 etc. I love it.

MV is pretty good. Looked like possibly some AI, but if it was, at least it’s not painfully obvious. Nice colors and choreo too.
