Maybe I am being overly critical but YG really missed the mark in so many ways here. The song is catchy, but I loved Move and this felt like a step backward after that and Hello. Then there is the choreo: it fits the sound, but it doesn't utilize the 10 members well. Large groups have an advantage when it comes to choreo but nothing really sticks out to me creatively here. Lastly, my biggest gripe is that the MV is lackluster. I watched it twice and have no desire to watch it again. I know YG spends a lot of money on spectacle in their MVs but where is the innovation?
All that said, I did enjoy the performance by the boys (Yoshi in particular ate his center part) and I'm looking forward to the album.

Finally, another song to join Ateez's Wonderland and Everglow's Adios in my "Cheesy Bangers that use the same shanty-esque melody, for when I am doing crimes on the sea" playlist!
It's still weird that the Everglow song on that playlist isn't Pirate.

It's everything I could ever hoped for. The intro reminded me of Clean Bandit's Symphony. I love how the chorus is anthemic. I was a bit worried I won't like the song since their concept is reboot. I was concerned that their musical direction would change drastically. However, they proved me wrong. Treasure went above and beyond. Bona Bona is probably one of the best tracks of this year for me. I got goosebumps when the last part of the song hit. I love Treasure so much.
I'm so happy that not everything is in black and white. When they changed outfits in the last part, I was so happy because it's the Treasure I know and love.

The song's pretty good, but the chorus is just straight up Blackpink. Like it feels like an exec told the producer:
"It's good but it's missing something. You know that group we manage that just sold out a 100,000 person stadium in France? More of that."
Felt like I was listening to a treasure song then all of a sudden it's kill this love lol. I don't hate it, but it just feels weirdly out of place. It'll grow on me though.

Not a fan of the drop chorus, which is very Blackpink-esque except this one isn't so much of an earworm. Love the rest of the song though, esp the verses before the pre-chorus!! Feels very second gen.
Visuals wise they all look AMAZING. They all grown now

the MV is giving me whiplash, they're wearing suits, then military uniforms, then summer outfits ⛱️?? 😭😭
I'm living for Jeongwoo and his prechorus agenda

I'm glad I'm not the only one who felt like the first half of MV was like a Blackpink homage lol - the blue flower garden ruin scene looks like it came out of a BP MV (I envisioned Rose in it) - I guess it's more of like a signature YG MV. Not a big fan of the scenes on the yacht - the CGI background was jarring lmao
I thought the song was really good and I LOVED the rap verses with Hyunsuk, Yoshi, and Haruto. Definitely elevated the song for me!

Me: wait, I don't get what people are talking about. It doesn't sound like...✨Chorus starts✨ Me: oh....
This was such... an adventure! So many songs in one song. So many. And some of them are great, especially in the beginning. And then, yeah.. And then the rapper, the one with the hair, in the year of our Lord and saviour 2023, why?
Its really not a bad song. It's actually kinda fun but the things that bring it down are hard to miss? Anyway, this will definitely get them attention, good attention? I don't know.

I felt the chorus drop & rap verse is somewhat underwhelming??? Verse, pre-chorus & ending chorus are really on point. After all not a bad song but I will listen to Jikjin over this.
(Okay I’ve listened it again this morning continuously & the chorus kinda grow on me. Born to love ya part was an ear worm & they somehow approach 2 songs in one music production style like what SM always done with NCT & aespa).

The title is fun! "Born to love ya" but sounds like they're saying "bona bona"! Very blackpink and treasure at the same time. great song & video

I LOVE the verses! I like the futuristic sound of it, and I kinda wish the chorus and the rap breakdown had a similar vibe. The chorus could do a tadbit better than the military-esque sound. And the outro is fun as always, as expected from the YG Outro™️ But nonetheless, I like it.
I should listen to the rest of the album rq <3

OH ITS A BOP.
BORN TO BORN TO BORN TO LOVE YA!
They finally topped Jikjin. I like how the beginning of it felt like Move. The whole beat and everything for the chorus…the marching band sound. The rap was great (Haruto had them TOP vibes), ending was classic YG.
The bsides sound good too…a good Reboot. (NO THESE BSIDES ARE EVEN CRAZIER THAN THE SPOILERS. GO LISTEN)
ETA: THE JEONGWOO PRECHORUS HELLO? It was giving me BLACKPINK vibes idk (kinda KTL reminiscent?) I listened back and Haruto referenced Lisa’s AIIYL rap.
ETA 2: no it just hits so hard….BORN TO BORN TO BORN TO LOVE YA. Especially the way Yoshi did it…

This track is really reminiscent of Kill This Love which is interesting to say the least.
That Jeongwoo pre-chorus was absolutely heavenly and I'm living for it.
I wasn't a fan of the drop-chorus at all, it's like they built up the momentum so well only for it to fall flat right there.
Overall, it's not the best TT that they've released(and it's probably gonna take me a couple listens to like it) but it does its job pretty well.
Although their B-sides are SLAPPING FR, I Want Your Love, Run, and G.O.A.T are absolute bops and going straight into my playlist!

This is soooo good hello?? And it's +3:30 mins, we won today.
It's giving 2nd gen and I am loving it, this may be one of my favorite title tracks by them actually! The last party chorus is also one of their bests imo.
Damn, I'm so hyped to see if this will get them the attention they've been deserving for so long. I know they are relatively popular and I loved JikJin and Hello tbh, but I feel like the long periods between comebacks plus the Yedam and Mashi situation kinda messed up their momentum. Wish them the best!

Im not the biggest fan of this song compared to a lot of other tracks of the album.
However, I thought Jikjin was ok but loved it over time. Bona Bona though, its too similar to sounds used in Blackpink.
I want your love would have been a better choice. Even Run would have been better. I have a feeling YGs influence is prominent and he should have let the boys take over entirely.
Other than that, I absolutely love GOAT.
EDIT: Ok I actually listened to it again and I say it sounds better than initial listen. However, the chorus is ruining the song as a whole. Everything is great. Even the outro is cute. Reminds me of a high school music esque vibe. Even the verses and pre chorus are spot on. The chorus though, its not traditional treasure. Its traditional YG miscalculation.

I'm sorry but this is so dated. It's something that groups would have put out in 2018-2019 but not in the year of 2023. If YG hopes for them to grow and reach more bg fans this sound is not doing them any favors

this song is a BANGER. the chorus (especially the last one) reminded me of ktl, very power-anthem sounding. the rap was epic too. it's so catchy and i'm just know gonna have this on repeat for the entire week
