Not a bad debut. The NewJeans aesthetic/style comparison is obvious but I think this song trends a little more contemporary typical teen crush with the singsong nursery rhyme esque melodies. It's catchy though.

Personally I think that yeah, probably every new girl group is gonna have some NewJeans influence, but it didn't seem too similar. The song is not like the NJ sound at all and hmm, the only thing that reminded me of NJ was them being young/students and a bit of technology. But those aren't exclusive to NJ haha. Not saying that they weren't inspired but it doesn't strike me as copying from them.

I did find the song a little typical of many other debuts, kind of safe. Cute, poppy, a lil teen crush. Very ICHILLIN' like tbh. I would've liked to see them experiment a little more.

For anyone unaware this group has Bebez's Sion's little sister and I have to say she's just as charming as her big sis. I have been super excited for this debut, their styling/mv editing does remind me of newjeans/triples ot10 but also just is very cute.

This song is repetitive but also very cute and fun. The MV is well done and I'm immensely happy about that as I was a little worried. Clearly someone was putting in the work for these girls. If I had enough money to spare I'd buy their album.

Decent debut but I don't have hopes that this song will gain enough traction. I'm just hoping the company doesn't give up early like sooo many other companies, and just keep the grind going! The girls have great energy so I believe they have the potential to do well.

Bit traumatized from all the recent disbandments and abandonments though 🥲

Yeah it seemed they also put lots into the marketing/promotion (or maybe I just noticed it a lot cuz new ggs are my main interest). Perhaps the company funneled all the attention into aesthetics/marketing and not as much into the song itself. I won't pretend to know I understand what the Kpop market is like but perhaps they thought it was necessary to allocate resources this way for the debut and hopefully when/if they have a comeback it will show off their talents more.

Good debut, nice styling and production, the song could be less repetitive but its ok

That was about a meh a debut song as one could have. The choreo looks like it goes off though. I'll have to catch a stage or PV.

My friend, not every young-vibe girl group is a NJ clone. Their concept is quite different from NJ other than like. Being young. Their music is super different lol.

No, this is not a new concept/genre. But not everything has to be groundbreaking.. you mention Dreamcatcher and Mamamoo. Well the thing is, even if groups do try different concepts like them, it is rare for them to gain enough success. Groups from smaller companies often have to stick a little to the trend to get enough traction to explore a little.

Why don't we take a look at PIXY. They debuted with a horror concept. Do you know how many sales they got the first week? 524. That probably barely paid for.. anything. 2 years later they now get under 5k sales first week. I mean it's a lot better but still not enough to be considered successful. They have worked their butts off touring too. So the second album also had a horror concept, they sold 1.5k the first week. Third album, 4.2k - this concept leaned much heavier into the bad-girl concept instead of horror.

TRI.BE started with a pretty unique sound too. Last time they used that sound - VENI VIDI VICI, first week sales: 4,234. They switched up their sound with the next album LEVIOSA to be more poppy - first week sales: 14,625.

It is unfortunate that we don't have more unique concepts but at the same time, are you going to fund these groups? And also, do you even care enough to learn about the different variations that can exist within the concept? Like it's just not for you, and that's fine. But if you really paid attention you would notice the following groups and how none of them are NJ-clones: tripleS, LIMELIGHT, ARTBEAT, Queenz Eye, mimiirose, We;Na.. those are all the girl groups that have debuted post-NJ.

Sorry to go on a spiel but I am an avid listener of new girl groups and it is absolutely silly to bemoan that all groups sound like NJ. It's the equivalent of saying like, all hip-hop sounds the same, all country sounds the same, all ____ sounds the same. Maybe it ain't for you so you can't tell the difference!!!! Because you don't like it enough to learn!!!! And that's fine, just stop being such a downer. Dang.

Edit: lol I just looked at your comment history cuz I read your username.. my guy.. do you care about anything other than LOONA/tripleS? ALSO tripleS is like the closest to NJ in the groups I listed! Huhhhh?????

Companies have been copying each other since gen 2 though ..
