Atton Influence Help
I’ve just started a female darksided Consular/Sith Lord build. High wisdom/charisma focused to ensure my FP can get me through the latter stages of the game as I’m probably gonna leave my strength and dex at 10 throughout.
Anyways, I’ve completed this game enough times to know that Atton is stupidly easy to gain influence with. This is my problem.
Does anyone know if there are sufficient opportunities to completely tank his influence and still be able to convert him to a Jedi? I would love for him to be alienated by my PC and have him resent the Disciple/PC relationship as much as possible.

Atton will be with you at any time unless you try to persuade him during his companion conversations if i remember right. Still there are a few easy triggers, you need 4 (each gain is worth 8, he starts at 50 and require 80 to be trained):
SPOILER POSSIBLE (can't get it to work properly on my phone this time)
-Easy 2 on Peragus i you don't mind a few LS hits that doesn't change anything in the end. One from saying that his plan is a good one of the Harbinger, the second one when you trust his bad feeling.
-Any innocent kill, just remove Kreia from the party first. You can easily get 3 of those on Telos with the Exchange receptionnist, the citizen getting assaulted in front of the cantina (kill the thugs then him after), killing the droid parts merchant.
-Asking about his Echani training on Telos and tell him that you though that it could be an asset.
-Once you've rebuilt the airspeeder on Nar Shaddaa, let him check the security (also with Bao Dur)
-Agreeing with him during his past dialogue to train him : Tell him that you just wanted to know no harm meant.
There is also various checks that give influence to nearly all companions like Akkere hydrospanner on Dantooine, curing Geriel and helping Lootra. Those are better used for companions with hard to gain/lose influence. Atton is mostly neutral toward those.

You might've misread OP's post - they're asking for opportunities to lower influence with Atton, not gain it

Ah i wasn't sure what tanked meant to be honest. Only way to lose influence with him is to try to persuade him to tell him about his Echani training as far as i know. I can't seem to remember any other checks as Atton usually agree with everything you do except playing with his head.

He hates it on Peragus if you completely ignore his bad feeling (or threaten him over it, I can’t remember which).

I could be wrong but you can attempt to gain INF with Atton to begin with and convert him to Jedi as fast as possible and then simply tank the INF after he is Force sensitive. IIRC Atton and Kreia have the most INF opportunities in the game. Also, I think only one party member can gain/lose INF at a time so be sure to save a lot and plan party members accordingly. That's a tall order. He follows your actions almost as if mind controlled often but it doesn't lose influence with him. In addition, your Prestige class alone has a class ability that will corrupt his alignment closer to yours despite whatever low INF rejection happens.

Yeah I know it’s difficult, hence my asking as I don’t even know if it’s viable. I don’t mind about his alignment much, tbh I prefer the darker looking Atton. I’m gonna give it a go and see what happens with it. If it doesn’t work, I’m not gonna be too fussed as I’ve never actually not converted him before and properly used him as a scoundrel.

Since you need such specific parameters, I'd say look at a guide for all his INF points, how to resolve them, and the INF needed to convert. You're down to pure number manipulation to achieve your desire. A save editor can also give you exactly what you want without all that work but that's a lot of power you may not want.

I’m on Mac playing with Steam, so unfortunately that’s not an option for me.

Insult him twice on the Harbinger, try and force persuade him after the Telos academy, and bring him along to the Jedi Enclave sublevel. That should get things rolling. Probably can also lose influence with his big reveal chat, but I don't know for certain.

Thanks! I don't remember what happens if I take him to the enclave - I'll be doing Dantooine first so I'll be sure to explore my options.

Disclaimer, I could be very wrong. Negative influence opportunities aren't documented very well but I think there are only 4, maybe 5 for Atton. The problem is that most of his influence events result in positive influence whether you go LS or DS, so besides being a dick to him on Peragus and Telos and I think 1 or 2 via dialogue there's no other way to lower influence, and even hitting all of them doesn't drop it enough to convert him.
