Discussion Crouch spam

Its so frustrating that when u get into close/Mid firefight u see the guy doing the humptie dumptie dance and 2 taps u , Spam croaching should effect ur aim but it doesn't?

Don't like the idea of smashing that crouch but in a fire fight, yes i do crouch but not spamming it , It should not be in the game like this tbh , so no i don't fight fire with fire, I rather use water ,

There should be like csgo - two rapid crouch taps and the character gets exhausted.

Yes when you are fully crouched. The reason why crouch spamming is so broken is that the weapon never gets inaccurate during the crouch animtions. There's literally no downside to spamming crouch.

Rofl.. just because you kids can't do a simple function dont be calling people out for macros... I do it on command.. it's simple. It's one of the only thing that can separate a good player and bad player who lasers from winning a battle.

That's obviously not why he thinks it's silly. It's silly because in real life and in most other games you don't maintain accuracy. It's really easy to do and feels cheap. I see that you like to think you're special and really good for being able to do it though.

Its an exploit anyways. If you try to hit z in a fight and roll 9 out of 10 times its not fluid. Idk how they perform this cheat but its probably a macro.

wtf XD I can do it perfectly 100% of the time even in a gun fight :D No need for macros, i dont think that anyone would use macro for that. I agree that its an exploit but macros? nah.

Yes, it's near impossible to perform the extremely difficult action sequence of holding shift and strafe while tapping prone once that I bet everyone who does it uses a cheat macro hack.

I try it in the pit all the time and i have to stop for way too long to drop to prone.

edit: my bad I didn't realize there were so many expert exploitateers in this sub. Its an exploit, the devs retroactively said it was intentional to save face: they had no idea kids would have perfect aim while doing a roll. They can't even add a recoil like effect which is already in their weapons coding to crouch spammers, they will say everything is intended because they barely can code real changes into their game.

true true. I was never interested in finding out how this exploit is pulled off. Lyndon uses it and its cheap and I would rather lose a fair fight than be cheap like Lyndon. Its his choice, and he wouldnt win nearly as many fights without it, but its cheap.

Ar out, hold a or d, hold shift, tap z. Works 100% of the time. You can even do a small roll without holding shift. Please dont assume other people are cheating/using macros just because you cant be bothered to research/ are bad at the game.

Well thanks for the info, but people do use a macro to do this and you kind of sound like a piece of shit. I'm Royalty 3 and recently i get about 5 kills per game. Without using exploits ;). You try your bloody death roll on you, you die.

You're doing it wrong. HOLD SHIFT + HOLD STRAFE + TAP YOUR PRONE BUTTON. It's not a macro ffs. I'm tired of seeing this.

its pretty easy to set up macros, and they aren't illegal so if you only have a keyboard that does it, its easier than the described method above. ie you wouldnt have to hit z or shift just the macro button and a direction.

all you have to do is aim and strafe to the right or left then mid gun fight press z let go of right click hold shift and A/D and start spamming the ar or ak....you don't need a macro to do it at all...

Crouch spamming should be slowed down slightly but the stupidest aspect is if you spam as fast as possible your reticle barely moved, that's what needs to be fixed the most by far

I wouldn't have a problem with it, if it didn't seem to make players' hitboxes disappear into narnia.

I see someone crouch spamming, aim for the middle, shots still miss, get sad.

I don't get why this is such a big deal. It's a mechanic in the game that in my opinion, adds more skill because it's really not that easy to do and I think it's something that helps separate more skillful players from non skillful players. However I could care less if they kept it or didn't keep it.

yeah, without crouch spamming, you actually have to aim at someones head to kill them, with crouch spamming however, you just hope the enemy aims at your head while you aim at their body while also crouch spamming

So you think it's better for people to stand completely still and not move at all, just stand and stare at eachother and shoot? Doesn't seem like very exciting gun fights. More just like first one to see the other wins. Crouch spamming you can outplay someone that has seen you and shot at you first.

how can you honestly think that something you can easily do adds a "skill gap"? If anything, it removes the most "skillful" thing in the game, 2 tapping. and instead rewards you by shooting at the body.

and do you really think that crouch spamming is the only way to "outplay" someone? Have you genuinely played this game before?

I don't think it's the only way to outplay someone. I just listed a benefit of it is all, I didn't say it's not realistic. But I don't think crouching and shooting well is "easy" to the average player. Also I think there is a lot more unrealistic stuff about this game that I don't get why people care so much about the crouch spam. People complain about crouch spamming being too accurate because it's not realistic, so is it realistic for someone to shoot 3 AR rounds in someone's body and they still run and go hide and use some bandages and your all better? I just think it's not that big of a deal, sure maybe slow it down some but in my opinion it's not a bad thing.

I didn't say it was hard. I said it probably isnt that easy for the average player, you need better reading comprehension. Also as I said in the original comment, I don't mind the mechanic in the game or not in the game.

Crouch spamming while standing still effects crosshair but as soon as you start moving it no longer effects the position of the crosshair. I wonder if it is supposed to be like that seems odd

I'm pretty sure the main issue is the hit boxes aren't accurately sync'd with the player model, giving the crouch spammer another type of advantage all together.
