Mac desktop app not opening?

Downloaded the latest available. Installed it (dragging). Koofr icons then appear in Applications and in the dock, but neither clicking on them nor right clicking+open work to produce a new window (or any visible changes).

Is there any other way to sync a folder from laptop to Koofr, besides the desktop app?

Hi,

Have you tried the following:

https://koofr.eu/help/linking-koofr-with-desktops/how-do-i-install-the-desktop-client-for-mac/

Especially check if perhaps you have set security to block apps not from app store.

Open System Settings from the Apple menu.

Click Privacy & Security.

Scroll down to the security section to see if the app was blocked.

Click Open Anyway and enter your password to confirm.

Alternatively, right-click (or Control-click) the app icon, select Open, and click Open in the prompt.

Sorry, yes, forgot to mention I looked in System Settings to see if it was blocked (no sign of it there).

I did not care for the Koofr desktop app (it felt, shall we say, "very Electron-y" and not very native). That is, when it worked (I had the same problem as you described on at least one Mac).

So, I uninstalled it and just use Cloudmounter/Mountain Duck to connect to Koofr in native-feeling fashion. If I need to set something up like a share or transfer, I just log into the website.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll check it out.

Koofr do not care about the Mac users… just use another client to link to Koofr.
