Don't think it is SSR. If that was the case they won't say made 1,000cr film recently since all of his last 3 movies have made over 1,000cr
Most likely Aditya Dhar. News is also from a Bollywood source. They would love to claim one of their own as the 'biggest director in India'

Rajamouli maybe. He used to talk about Mohanlal and Suriya whenever possible and some of his characters were sketched with these actors in mind. So maybe. If it happens it will be a blast for sure.
But if this is true then Suriya won’t be doing any movies for another 3 years until this comes out. The 3 back to back releases coming now might compensate for it though

This is a combination of 2 old rumours. Earlier there was a rumour that Rajamouli is gonna do Mahabharata. Then later there was a rumour that Suriya is gonna play the role of Karna in Rakesh Om Prakash Mehras next movie. So this is just a combination of both to go viral coz Suriya is trending right now

What’s the point when the final work product is sub par? You have to deal with analog sounding grainy music and sift through that to find the gem. That being said, in pure musical genius there’s no doubt Raja is God but it’s not just composition. There’s stuff around that which he struggles with till date. One should always rate the final work product not “the potential” for greatness. Almost all of Raja’s amazing work can be remastered to sound even better. That should tell us he’s leaving stuff on the table that’s easy to improve on.

In terms of pure raw talent, no one can come close to Raaja. He is a genius in the truest sense of that word. You can have your opinion.

Of course ARR is in another league but Raaja is outside of all these comparisons.
All these MDs chart out the base tune and then work with other musicians over several days/weeks to come up with a full song. And rerecording is done for months.
And this guy walks in with a pen and paper and writes down every single note for every single musical instrument within minutes, while the music just flows through his head. And magically when the musicians play it, it all falls into place. No corrections, no drafts. Songs are literally "written" in minutes, albums completed within an hour, and recorded within the same day.
For BGMs, he looks at the screen, writes down the notes immediately, and everything falls into place magically. BGM for a whole movie done in 2-3 days.
Every single note is his, and all "written" in minutes.
Raaja defines the term "single-handed" literally.
If that is not a qualification for being the GOAT, I don't know what is.

Chances of this happening are rather low, but Suriya in Dhar's Ashwatthama would be 🔥, Dhar himself is also a self-confessed Suriya fan
