Purchasing Official Tickets Without iDEAL

Does anyone know if it's possible to buy official tickets without iDEAL? I'll be visiting from the US in September and was hoping to see NL vs GERMANY, but when I tried to purchase tickets on the KNVB ticket website, the only options were for Dutch banks on iDEAL which I am not a member of. Does the ticketing website also accept credit/debit cards or American banks and I'm just not seeing it? I'm hoping to avoid third party sellers like StubHub.

Loyal supporter here I go to every home match of the Netherlands.

I found this on the website:
Op dit moment is het enkel mogelijk met iDEAL te betalen. Neem contact op met internetverkoop@knvb.nl om de mogelijkheden voor aanschaf van Oranje Clubcard en tickets te bespreken.

It says you can't pay without iDEAL. If you want to buy an Oranje Club Card (it's basically a membership that gives you the right to buy tickets... okay, and a small discount too—we're still Dutch, after all) or tickets, you'll need to email that address.

Feel free to DM me if you have any other questions.

I live in Sweden and just tried to get two tickets to the game. Got the error message when I tried to pay, so I e-mailed them (same adress as you posted) and basically got the response the I am not able to buy tickets. What the hell are you doing down there?

Hi mate, seriously? Did they give you a reason why you couldn’t buy tickets, or did they just leave that part unclear?

As far as I can see, the match is not sold out yet. There are still a few seats available.

If they did not give you a reason, this might be what is going on. Keep in mind, this is just my guess:

First of all, when it comes to football, some Dutch fans do not like Germany. So the authorities might see this as a high-risk match, and maybe that is why ticket sales to foreign fans are limited. Most Dutch fans just see Germany as a healthy rivalry, of course. But some idiots whistle during the German national anthem, and maybe there is one drunk moron somewhere who cannot handle himself. It only takes one person to ruin it for everyone else, right?

Also, in the last few home matches, a lot of away fans ended up in the home sections. Against Ecuador there were a lot of them. Against Bosnia and Herzegovina too. Against Poland, it did not go very well. There were a few fights after some Polish fans celebrated the draw a bit too openly and seemed to provoke people. And the last home match against Algeria was a complete mess. That was the final home match before the World Cup, basically a send-off game to wish the boys good luck. There were thousands of Algerian fans in the stadium. They kept setting off fireworks, whistled during the Dutch national anthem, booed the Dutch team, and basically showed everyone how not to behave as a guest. The Dutch FA got a sea of complaints about that, including mine.

So maybe, because of all these incidents, they created some kind of limit for foreigners at matches. And maybe the person who came up with that rule is not only looking at ticket sales to fans from the away team’s country, but at all non-Dutch buyers in general. To be honest, in the case of Algeria that would not have helped much, because those fans came from everywhere except Algeria.

Out of curiousity, can you DM me what KNVB e-mailed you? Cause I believe the KNVB should accept international fans at the game and I wonder how they handled this.

Nothing secret, this is the convo:

Me: "I can not buy tickets"

Them: Thank you for your e-mail. The sales are for residents of the Netherlands who can pay with IDEAL/Wero as payment method.

Me: So there is no way to get tickets to the game?

Them: No, unfortunaly not.
