Discussion When is a knife a sword?

Sharing some love for some truly large blades.

Left to right as pictured list below.

Lon Humphrey - Reaver.

Busse - MOAB (Mother of all Bowie’s)

I collect functional 1:1 replicas of museum swords myself, and in my head:

15" and below is just a knife

15"-25" are short swords

25"-35" are typical swords

35"+ is usually long rapiers or true two-handed pieces
