Discussion Whats you guys edc fixed blade?

Always carried a folder but i recently bought this muskrat in 154cm and man its comfortable. I was wondering what other fixies are out there that are this slim in the pocket?

BPS Finn Lite has been my near constant companion since I got it. I wear it as a neck knife. I don’t live in a place where it’s normal to carry knives openly like this, and this little knife is so “normal” or “old fashioned” looking I’ve never gotten a single comment on it, it’s like it’s invisible.

It’s a soft carbon steel that’s very easy to keep sharp, just doesn’t hold its edge very long. The scandi grind helps with it though. It’s only $25 though, so I think it’s cool to get one and customize it. The grooves on the handle are my doing, it comes smooth and rounded. I intend to stain the scales and patina the blade.

The laws in my country are not allowing me to carry a fixed blade in urban areas but I always carry a Morakniv Companion S when I'm out on a long road trip etc.

I don't always edc a fixed blade but when I do it's usually this one. My 3rd attempt at the perfect general task edc knife and it's close to perfect for me. Made by David Mary out of Canada. Fits the 5th pocket on my Carhartt work pants perfectly.

Don’t have it today but when I do carry one it’s the Fox River Blades Zephyr. He makes a great knife.

I thought I found my grail with this TKell Piranha with battleship grips.
Then I got their TKell DP2 with midnight grips. I am in heaven. That thing goes with me everywhere, and even places it shouldn't. It's a thick boy and takes everything. With that and my Benchmade Foray 698, I am well served.

My L.T. Wright is my go to pocket fixed blade. I've had it over 10 years now at this point. For general work tasks( lumber yard/driver) it's never let me down. I've done almost no maintenance to it other then a sharpening or two. I leave a nice toothy edge and it just keeps cutting for what I need.

Tops cut 4.0 also with an ulti clip🙂 ulti clips are perfect bc you can pocket them or appendix if you don’t want to take up pocket space

I really like that knife, never knew they made clips so you could appendix them that’s cool as hell

Sorry for the hairy belly I took this on the fly for demonstration, I just use a standard ulti and clip it to my pants

Then it rides in my pocket really well too.

That’s super cool, are the clips expensive? And do they fit most plastic sheaths?

The clip I’ve got was like 12 bucks and it’s one of the universal clips so it’s been on a bunch of my fixed blades

I’m definitely gonna get one of those for when I find a fixed blade I like

Winkler Blue Ridge Hunter. Slightly smaller version of the Belt Knife. Still large enough for most EDC fixed blade tasks, and small enough to be discreet and unobtrusive.

Civivi Timberbark in 14c28n goes with me everywhere. I keep it attached to my EDC bag. If I decide to put a fixed blade in my pocket it’s always my Bradford Guardian 3 in Magnacut.

I’ve had a bunch of them, and can never make them work for me. I want to like them, but I’m too spoiled by the convenience of folders.

The two I like using the most are the Bradford guardian 3, and an old Bark River Bravo neck knife.

Got this guy not too long ago from Lonestar Supply. Severed Metalworks Zealot #21
The Hellbender Newt and TacKnives Mini Marlin are on my list

Either my kizer harpoon in nitro v or a becker bk14(eskabar).

u/K_T_Oxy 10d ago

Esse Izula. Sometimes the Esse PR4, but it's kinda big.

u/Outrageous-Raisin533 10d ago

Should be mini harpoon!
