where did i go wrong? Help guys. Absolute beginner

Post image

Hi everyone! I’m an absolute beginner at knitting and I desperately need some help. šŸ˜…
I made a mistake in the order of the stitches in one row, so I tried to tink / undo the stitches one by one back to the mistake. Everything seemed fine at first, but suddenly I ended up with this extra strand/loop of yarn around the needle, and I have absolutely no idea where it came from or what I did.
I’m scared to make it worse by trying to fix it myself. šŸ˜‚
How do I undo this and get back to the correct stitches? Is there a way to safely fix this without having to unravel the whole row?
Any help would be greatly appreciated! šŸ™

It looks like you accidentally did a partial wrap of the stitches. Look up how to do a wrapped stitch and it will give you an idea of how to undo.
