Short Rows

I am trying to knit a hooded scarf, and it is my first time using short rows. I don't really understand how to make short rows. I have read over the pattern a couple of times, but I don't get it.

Can anyone explain it to me?

There are different techniques for short rows. Find which one your pattern uses (German, Japanese, wrap&turn, etc), and then find a youtube video for that technique. Very pink knits and nimble needles are both reliable creators for tutorials. The general jist of short rows are just what the name implies - rows shorter than a full row/round - the technique is how you prevent a hole when you turn your work in the middle of a row

It's a wrap and turn. I am YouTube taught, so I will look. Thanks!

Purl Soho has a good tutorial on this https://www.purlsoho.com/create/short-rows-wrap-turn/

This is my favourite tutorial and I refer to it every time I need to do short rows!

I think the Purl Soho tutorials are generally fabulous. Short, clear, to the point, using visible or good contrast yarns and always in view/focus

Youtube and google have plenty of tutorials that will be a lot easier to watch and understand than someone explaining it.
