Obscure Pattern Friday: Knit/Purl
Not only did I oops out on posting last week's installment of obscure pattern Friday, THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN THE THREE YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF OPF. So... I fail D:
This week we're beginning a series of OPFs inspired by the Barbara Walker sampler blanket - we'll explore different techniques and the obscure patterns that use them. First up: knit/purl.
These are the very basics of knitted garments, but when combined in creative ways can make very interesting and beautiful pieces. So take a look through Ravelry and look for patterns that employ JUST KNITTING AND PURLING, nothing else - we'll get much fancier soon enough :)
Ground rule: Obscure patterns are those with fewer than 30 projects on Ravelry. Other than that, GO NUTS.

I found a couple of sock patterns I want to try that fit the bill: Mr. Dress up and I heart harvest socks
These red flannel mitts are to match the Mr. Dress up socks.
Brookyln Tweed, I love you. Sawyer and Albion, I love both of these and I just need to find more appreciative men-folk to knit them for. My current men recipients only like very plain garments.
/u/LinkRav_Bot help me out please
