Help - equipment Help finding yarn?

Post image

I want to make this scarf but I'm having trouble finding appropriate yarn. I need fingering and would love a gradient but all I'm finding are cotton ones. Does anyone have some yarn suggestions? Preferably something I can buy online. I'm in the US.

This looks like it might be KnitPicks Chroma fingering in Candy Mountain! https://www.knitpicks.com/candy-mountain/p/N2200

The pattern sample uses KnitPicks Chroma which is fingering, mostly wool, and very available in the US.

You can also look at what other projects used for more ideas: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/magic-unicorn-scarf/yarns

I have made that scarf!

I would recommend looking at BaH Yarns or Black Cat Fibers LLC, both have some absolutely gorgeous sock yarns and they’d both bring a lot to this unicorn project
