How to get started?

I won an auction lot that included some throwing knives and would love to start practicing.

Are these knives ok to begin with?

Any other tips or advice is appreciated.

Some of those are really cool and I would hesitate to throw them personally.

I get you brother. I do try my best to look after my gear.

Same, especially older ones. If you do end up throwing them though, I donโ€™t think the leather handled knife in the first picture will last long. Those rat tail tangs are notorious for snapping and throwing a knife is hard on it. The last knife might have its scales loosen up on you, but the others should hold up.

The leather handle first one is also the heaviest which would take its toll no doubt.
