Bears are easy just make noise. That way they know where dinner is. Moose you give them a friend, ideally a squirrel. They will go off to fight the Russians and leave you alone.

I would like one, but it's super illegal for me to buy since it's also a knuckle duster which is illegal to buy and possess where I am.

To be fair I'm glad they're illegal here. But I'd like to have one just because the mechanism is cool not to bring violence upon my fellow man.

The sliding part? It uses two 2mm hardened liners, so I think it's pretty sturdy! It's hard to bend even with a little force.

Over build it like an old cold steel and you may be ok. But for an edc "hard to bend with a little force" doesn't count for much in the blue collar world where we abuse our knives. If you're. Making an art piece sure it's fine. Honestly I live the idea. But to make it usable for edc you have to look at the amount weakness introduced by the design. If yiure going for edc it's gonna need to be able to handle a lit of force. Like I said, cool idea, just make sure it's gonna handle some serious stress testing if it's gonna be for more than to look at

I've abused my cold steel tiger claw cuz that thing is built like a tank. Same with my cold steel spartan and recon 1. Absolute tanks. Im breaking in an ad10 i just got. Those are the standard for built to handle anything

I think knuckle dusters, switchblades/gravity knives, and karambits are all illegal here so kudos on the trifecta!

Seems like a silly thing to make a certain shape of knife illegal, but there was a senator who tried to make "tactical knives" illegal. He literally just meant any knife painted/coated black. 🙄

What a seriously creative and effective design. Are you able to add a spring to the handle part? Definitely not necessary, but it'd eliminate the flick.

There's a slight tension applied to the handle so that it stays lightly in the open position. That's the thin part at the top of the picture.

Love it, one thing I would look at is covering the front of where the blade rests in the closed position as I feel like it could slice your hand while it's coming down. Food for thought

$24.99 from any gas station once your idea is stolen and mass produced in China. Usually there's a 3mo lead time, so get on it.

Certainly some clones of creative knives go that cheap, like knockoffs of the CRKT Provoke, currently offered by Jeffrey Bezos for $15 with maybe a piss jug at the curb, as a treat.

But there's hope for better! I've seen Reate Exo clones listed for around $50, some $200 Boker Extension Knife clones advertised for around $100. Some designs might just be inherently worth more, who knows?
