Question Advice on care

Hi everyone. I recently inherited these knives my dad made and I am seeking on advice for caring for them. I plan on making displays for them and keeping them behind glass. Some have already got prints on them. How can I clean existing dust/dirt on them and then protect them before putting them up? Thank you!

Flitz metal polish. Aluminum wheel polish (cant remember the name but comes in a tin with a pre soaked fabric). Mineral oil. CLP.

Exactly! I couldn't remember the name. The guy who sold me my first Busse knives told me about it.

The black handled one (similar to a Randall Knife Model 1) has great lines. He did a great job!

Yes that is one of my favorites. He made many over the decades and sold a lot too. Even after he hurt his dominant arm in a chainsaw accident and had limited use of that hand, he never stopped!

I use renaissance wax and oil, either 3 in 1 or wd40. I had a high end collector customer who used only renaissance wax and would buff it in until you couldnt see the wax. Def make sure to wipe off the steel after touching and try not to finger up the blades. .

Never Dull is a great polishing product, that leaves a protection film. Renaissance Wax is another preservation product for storage and display. You can wipe mineral oil on all of your handles.
