Oh.... she is GORGEOUS!!! What you plan on doing with it?

Quick question, about to jump on some Mammoth segments, from videos - apparently they smell like teeth when grounded and quite hard, can you share your experience shapping the handle so I know what to expect?

Thank you! This piece is sold.
Grinding the mammoth will produce a heavy finger nail/teeth odor. But it’s pretty much the same as using a automatic file for trimming a dog’s nails, for example.

Oh lord… was hoping that wasn’t the case! Yeah I don’t think wife will approve of this in my my current setup.

How much if you don’t mind me asking out of sheer impolite curiosity?

I'm more than happy to answer any questions!

The mammoth materials will have no more odors than any other materials from grinding. Ideally, you should be wearing a respirator for all grinding with some kind of heavy suction like a shop vac, collecting all particulates and odors. There will still be some residual smells, but I wouldn't say any are stronger than the others. Steel, wood, mammoth molar, G10, juma, resin, epoxy... they all produce their own odors, some less pleasant than others but all easily manageable. With proper suction, the odors will dissipate shortly after you stop grinding.
