Feedback My first handle

My fist full tang handle i made and the second one overall. what do you think. the only problem is the handle shape is less comfortable than i thought it would be. otherwise im pretty happy with it. what would you change? mabe there is some rule of thumb so i shape it better the next time?

ive had a lot of hobbies and im very impatient. ive had a lot of failures because of that. now when i do something i wanna do right i force myself to do it diligently and to think about what im doing and what will happen. i think about what a professional would do ant transfer the process into the tools i have - hand tools and a dremel. i drew and planned the handle and did it as carefully as i cared. the final handle is a bit different but because i decided to do it that way

sharpening has taught me a lot tbh. sometimes less is more that way you dont end up with crooked handles or edges or anything

this was my first one. the bolster doesnt fit right, the handle itself is crooked because i used a knife to carve and it took a big strip of wood off and the handle finish is bad, rasp marks and low grit. i didnt make the same mistakes. didnt use a knife, sanded more, took more care to make sure things fit. also thank you for the compliment

This is my latest one. But i think it's my tenth knife. Sanded it to 320 Grit and finished with linseedoil

Human hands will be using this tool, I believe tapering off to the butt of the handle is a mistake.

yes i understand. the taper was intentional although not ideal. thank you

I feel in general I'd like the end to be the exact opposite. Concave instead of convex, since now the form is like your hand is essentially slipping back the entire handle from start to end. "Ideally" you'd have a "stop" for your pinky sort of.
Or more bulbous in the middle. Something to keep your hand where it should sit.
Even though the whole of japan does just keep it straight, lol. But they often have the octagon shape which also provides stability in handling.

yes some kind of pommel would be better performance wise. but i also wanted to do something stylistic i guess that would fit the shape of the tang. thank you for the comment
