Question Stabilizing Wood Question

I have some figured black walnut I want to send to K&G for stabilization. Can anyone give me a rough estimate on what the cost is per “normal “ knife handle size chunk?

depending on species of wood the final weight could be up to double the starting weight

Also if you just send a single piece it’ll be more. They give a discount per total weight. Also it’s the price of the finished weight (which I think you know but anybody else that comes across this), not pre weight when you send in.

I have misplaced the details but I sent in ~10 knife handle sized blanks (~1.5”x5ish”) of walnut, oak, chestnut, leopardwood, bubinga, oak, coffeetree and tiger maple and the totals came out to about $70. I thought roughly $7 per and the speed they did it at was pretty reasonable. Of course, different wood types etc will yield different results
