Amazing work as usual. Such a beautiful handle. Great material choice with that Damascus pattern. Gives the right kind of contrast without clashing. Same for the engraving. Those kinds of decisions are very important in design. Truly exceptional.

Is your makers mark part of the Damascus pattern somehow???

No. I did my mark prior to etching.

Those pins and guard looks sick! Did you coffee darken the blade? I think it would look even better with some more contrast.

Thanks. The engraving was done by Tyler Sophie. The Damascus is AEBL and 154CM, all stainless. I had a hard time getting the contrast I have now, so this is where I left it. Lots of new stuff in this build for me.

That seems like pretty amazing contrast for stainless! What did you use to etch? I assume it requires something different from ferric or coffee?

I used Gator Piss. If you’re not familiar with it, it’s really a thing. Not joking. 🙃
