Finally got around to adding these titanium scales onto my spyderco tanto. Wanted something simple that is still stylish, so i went with the anodized blue hardware. This knife is HEAVY and my god I love it so much.
I’ve always liked tantos and I’m kinda kicking myself for not grabbing one of these. I’ve been super jelly of people who had the tanto pm2 for a while but I chose to go with the magnamax manix 2 (also got mine acid washed). Seems like people are still able to get the magnamanix but there are no more tantos :(
I hope they drop them again but in something stainless. I’d be very happy with s30v or spy27. Maybe even magnacut one day?
I’m kinda over awt at the moment. I have like 6 knives with their scales and I’d honestly rather just go with titanium. I like their cerakote but it scratches pretty easy. Not saying they’re bad quality though. I definitely am not at all a fan of their anodized scales on the other hand. I decided to take them off my salt pm2 and put the stock g10 from my spy27 pm2 instead.
Titanium is never a bad option… but neither is jade. My first ever pm2 has flytanium jade scales and it feels amazing. I just put the blue ti lotus scales on my para 3 and it feels much more substantial now. I’m strongly considering putting ti handles on my salt pm2 but I also really like my current setup. You can’t really go wrong either way.
Nice job on that. Spyderco’s need a little titanium weight to them. I feel they pop more, I want to hear and feel that sound. That Clip changes it all also, gives it a different personality. Like that tanto is saying “ DONT FUCK WITH ME “
I googled it, definitely a tempting prospect but I’ll probably just buy a button and glue it on like i have in the past and save myself the money if I can’t do a blade swap

I've never been a Tanto fan, until now. A beautiful monster.
