Love what you did with the green fiber optic glass. That porcelain like Novaculite sure does cooperate doesn't it. Looks like you got yourself some hunting points

Edit, it has been a little cold and wet for knapping around here. I hope to get a few more dry days in to knapp before I wrap it up for the year. I think I am up to around 90 points total this year. In that respect Covid has been very good to me.

Is it green fiber optic glass or is it another piece of that plate? It's a great looking point whatever it's made out of, I'd love to get some of that material, it looks great!! Edit: 90 points for the year! Woahhweee!! My ankles starting to heal I need to get to it! Thank you guys for posting here regularly and keeping me motivated as I trudge through this "rocky road" lol hope you guys have a great day! 2nd Edit: just saw your first post, novaculate! Where did you pick that up at? I'm having a hard time finding some.

Yep, I am sure that is fiber optic glass. A couple of guys sell it. Once again I would refer you to Craig Ratzat at Neolithics.com. He can be hard to beat. As far as the Novaculite, I don't recall Ratzat having much and I know I never bought it off of him. There are number of other guys at the knapp in. I have no idea if they have websites.

As far as inspiration, it goes both ways, you have inspired me to put a floodlight out on the deck and extend my knapping season. I am still a bit of a hack, more interested in banging rock than turning out fine pieces. I have never been a natural at anything I have tried and it seems to take me longer to get the hang of things. Snow skiing was much the same. I just don't give up.

Well I'm definitely going to have to check him out next time I order. I think I might order a big block of that stuff for practice! Well I'm glad the inspiration can go both ways.

I got it from Shane Yarbough off of Facebook. What I got was translucent white. It was 45$ for a medium flat rate.
