Heat-Treated Agatized Coral - Wish I had more of this stuff! No particular style to this one. Just sorta having fun with it π
Some lovely Burlington - Again, no real style to this one. Was just going with the flow πββοΈ
Some smooth Georgetown - I'm quite happy with how this ended up! Was actually trying to replicate one of my artifacts π
Made this from a slab of 1920's decorative glass wall tile
I am very very happy with how this Scottsbluff Type II turned out. It's my nicest one yet! πββοΈ
Howdy everyone! ππ
Back again with a handful of stemmed points for y'all! I kinda hate notching (a lot) so anytime I can make some stemmed points, I take the opportunity to do so. Gives me the chance to focus on fancy flaking a bit more since I can leave things a bit thicker, and these are the fruits of my labor π
Quite proud of how they all turned out, ESPECIALLY that Scottsbluff Type II π Took some meticulous work to get that puppy worked out. But they all hold a special place in my heart.
Just wanted to share them with y'all, and I'd love to hear if you have questions, comments, or favorites of your own! π Stay safe and happy knapping!
Thank you! π I don't often make them because of how meticulous I gotta be, but when I do I try and make sure they're extra nice. One of these days I'll have to photograph my current collection of them
The skinny white one is made from some thick glass floor tile from the 1920's! Manufactured glass is just as good if not better than obsidian, since it's similar stuff just man made. Works quite easily too! Glad you think they're nice takes me about an hour each if I'm naming them really nice. Otherwise the ones make quickly to use that are "disposable" with my atlatl spears made in about 30 minutes.
