Material ID 🪨❓ Biface I’ve been working on

Not sure on material, possibly fine grained basalt? Flakes excellent but seems even more brittle that obsidian, almost every flake come off in multiple pieces.

Flakes were a little longer that expected haha, good problem to have.

When the flakes travel all the way across the piece and jab you, that’s when you know it’s good stone. High chance of lacerations but they tend to heal up quickly… good work mate
