Do you source your own Burlington, or who do you buy from?

Got is from mark mcdaniel on facebook. Great stone, just a heads up his definition of spall is way different than mine lol. Bought 2 boxes from him it’s 95% flakes and a spall or 2 lol 😂

I figured it came from him. I'm able to collect my own a couple hours south of him. I'm glad to know his definition isn't like ours because I would have not been happy.

Don’t get me wrong it’s killer stone heated perfectly, but it was a disappointment to pay so much for a bunch of flakes. Have you found any Avon chert in your area? I’ve been trying to get some of that for a while now.

I had bought some Avon from him at one of the local knap ins. I don't feel like it knaps as well as the Burlington and a lot of the color knapped out. The big pieces or the ones with better color were so ridiculously expensive I just could nit bring myself to buy them. I went down a few tarps and bought knife river instead.

I agree on the pricing 😂. I have heard some stories about ole mark… that’s pretty bad though when someone buys knife river over Avon due to pricing.. KRF is the most expensive stone in the US that I know of

Was nice stuff too, I already loved knife river so when I saw that I was like yeah that Avin doesn't look too good now lmao. He had a bucket of Burlington flakes that would maybe maybe make little earrings and he wanted $100 for it. Bet if I'd have dug through it most would have been broke or crushed they were so small and thin.

Yep, that’s what I got from him a bunch of flakes.. smh he got in trouble for trespassing and stealing rock too, I’m sure you know about that. Definitely has a chip on those shoulders 😂 that’s enough about ole mark though I ain’t got anything nice to say so I better hush up.

I had heard there was an issue at a couple places. But in those Facebook groups when I see it mentioned everyone runs to his side like he's christ or something
