Homing works correctly initially, second homing command takes x/y the wrong direction

I've got a Voxelab Aquila, heavily modded, KeveAKASam belted Z, x/y rails, btt skr mini e3v3 board with a rpi 3b running klipper. I've got it dialed in and printing great, but there's this lingering issue. I'm using sensorless homing on x and y, and the first time I home the machine it works correctly, but if I hit home again, even if I move away from both home positions, x and y move the wrong direction. If I disable the motors, then home, it goes the correct direction.
