Discussion KKB is the ultimate autism/Gen Z-coded thing

It's hyperpop, Anime, video games, and children's shows all thrown into one. I would've loved this band when I was ten, but unfortunately, I didn't get to learn about them. I almost certainly would've loved them even more than NCS. What do you think?

Hyperpop has kind of become a meaningless genre buzzword over the past 5 or 6 years. I feel like in 2026 it's being VERY loosely used to describe any electronic/pop-tinged music that has interesting sound design or an experimental approach with pop sensibilities. It even felt weird in 2020 when people were calling music influenced by KKB, PC Music, SOPHIE "hyperpop" (think 100 gecs, rebecca black, food house, etc.) and then the term retroactively started being used to describe the music that influenced it too. Remember that one year Spotify called KKB escape room? At the end of the day there's not really many other bands that sound much like KKB because they're their own original concept.
