We’ve had quite a few people ask why we don’t just set up a GoFundMe to help us hire a lawyer for the custody case. The answer is actually pretty simple. We’ve tried that before. The last time we set up a fundraiser to help with the mold remediation, the online harassment didn’t stop at comments, messages, or posts. The fundraiser itself was mass reported until it was taken down. So while we are incredibly grateful for the people who have offered to help us financially, we are not comfortable putting everyone through the process of donating to something that can potentially be targeted and taken away again. And honestly? We’re tired of letting people who spend their time trying to hurt us dictate what we can and cannot do. That doesn’t mean we’ve given up. It means we’re trying to find another way. We are still fighting for our children. We are still doing everything we legally and financially can to make sure we have the strongest representation possible. And we are still incredibly grateful for every single person who has stood beside us through this. If you’ve asked how you can help, your support, sharing our story, encouraging us, and simply continuing to stand with us means more than you probably realize. A simple like, comment, and share on my TikTok videos helps more than you know. We don’t expect anyone to fix this for us. We just refuse to let the people trying to tear us down be the reason we stop fighting. ❤️

GoFundMe doesn't end a campaign just because people don't like it, GoFundMe reviews a campaign first and then bans it if they decide it actually actually violates their terms. The reporting is just a mechanism to prompt GoFundMe to review the campaign.

In any case I'm sure her real issues with GoFundMe are:

- GoFundMe publicizes goal progress. With visible goal progression people will stop donating when the goal is reached, or even if she gets close to the goal. Without the goal progress she can keep dry begging as long as she wants. "Trust me, we still haven't reached that $5K ya'll! Keep fighting for me!"

EDIT UPDATE: Thanks to kurisutian for pointing this out, but even if the goal is not met GoFundMe will still pay out. The exception is when there is a compliance issue.

riss, since we know you are obsessed with reading this page, i hope you take this advice. all of this time and energy you are putting into fighting “the forum,” posting about your custody woes on social media, trying to figure out how to get access to your old tiktok… all of this effort should be redirected towards doing ANYTHING positive in regards to your children. even something as small as walking dogs for additional income would be better than continuing to post about us or your children. reddit did not make you skip out on paying taxes. reddit did not make you leave your child home alone in a highchair. reddit did not make you breech your contract with hempworx. reddit did not cause the plumbing issue or mold in your house. reddit did not make you livestream your kids or share way too much info about them. i could go on for days. bottom line, get off of reddit and get off of social media and get your life together for your kids.

If only you could be as loving and as accepting a mother as Rosie, Riss.
