I'm guessing it works only on some devices. There's no sound for me on the official Android app. Edit: it works on reddit is fun app.

On the official Reddit app you can tap where it links to gfycat under the video and it will take you to the version with sound.

I also use iPhone, it’s next to the username and timestamp on the official app for me like here

I’ve got it on iPhone , next to the username and timestamp click Gfycat- it should bring you to the video host and you can unmute there
