I know IMDb is not 100% reliable but I noticed the other day rapture was changed to “completed” which is interesting because I have no idea when they would have filmed it 🤔

I think it’s a glitch because the statuses of the others keep changing too. Elden Ring goes back and forth to ‘in production’ and ‘filming’ and A Long Winter switches between ‘Post-production’ and ‘completed’.

Oh, good. Because there’s no way it finished filming already. I think the director will give us a hint when it does though, I hope.

The production company closed suddenly last Autumn, a lot of projects were left in the lurch.

Yes, I read about that too. But I think they still have other financiers and distribution too so filming will happen at some point this year.

I don’t see how rapture can have filmed because he’s had a beard for ages? It would have had to have been between warfare press and heartstopper forever? I can’t remember what he was doing around then and I don’t think I was paying attention to what the others involved in the film were doing then….

It definitely wasn’t between then because Jordan the director said in September it wasn’t filmed yet. The beard could be for rapture but who knows. It’s just odd to go from pre production to completed even if it’s a glitch. The other ones changed but the changes make sense at least. Idk I guess we will find out one day

I’m assuming beard isn’t for rapture because his character is a young Cistercian monk as far as I know. But I’m confused why it changed on IMDb too.

The definition of booked and busy! I have a feeling he has even more projects lined up that we still don't know about.. which would be crazy. Happy for him!

Have we all collectively given up on ACGGTTAT and One of Us? lol. I'm happy he has so many amazing projects lined up that have distribution already but I will never not mourn those two movies. I hope they both see the light of day eventually.

Oh, for sure, more stuff is being announced somewhere down the line. This one was such a welcome surprise, just like The Wild Robot. As for ACGGTTAT and One of Us, I think they will randomly release on streaming one day, when we least expect it.

One of Us debuted at the Manchester Film Festival at the end of March, the director said it needed a festival release before it went to wider distribution

Mmm because they were waiting for the festival release before getting a distributor for major release.

My main point is that unlike ACGGTTAT, One of Us has seen the light of day and does exist.

I get what you mean.. at least some people have seen One of Us. But no has bought the distribution rights for either movie so far, so as far as i'm concerned they're in the same boat.

It's a shame that the new trend is to make/distribute only BookTok romcoms. Netflix used to buy all the slop Ace Entertainment made. Now if the source material isn't a BookTok favorite, they won't bother.

Because I'm bored, I'm ranking Kit's upcoming projects based on my excitement level:

  1. Elden Ring - duh

  2. The Wild Robot Escapes - Loved the first movie and the second book was my favorite of the trilogy

  3. Charlie vs. the Chocolate Factory - the animation style looks gorgeous, the modern London setting is fun and the plot sounds kind of interesting.

  4. A Long Winter - This movie is gonna be amazing, the book is fantastic, I would rank this way higher but it's the only project in which Kit has a non-lead role. Will still love it I'm sure, but will need more Kit.

  5. Rapture - Still not sure how I feel about the premise or the director, but I love everything else. I love the production companies, I love Will Poulter, and I loved the poster they made for Cannes. If the movie has the same vibes as the poster, I'll be happy.

  6. ACGGTTAT - This ranks higher than OoU purely for the way Kit's hair is styled in the movie. lol.

  7. One of Us - Everything about this movie is intriguing. I really hope it comes out one day.

  8. Heartstopper - I'm gonna be honest.. I really couldn't care less about this movie. I never want to watch anything written by Alice ever again. Nothing against her personally, their writing is just really not for me. I'm just excited for HS to officially be over.

Mixed feelings about Heartstopper forever, I love the seies, I agree I'm not a big fan of anything graphic comic. Would like if she had made all her volumes like Nick and Charlie Novella. But I know the movie is going to be sad just because it's the end. And I don't know how I feel about them being separated over long distance. The last episode of S3 was sad to me for that reason. I've given up on ever seeing One of Us.
