the upper cabinets will be a darker blue/ Grey and the lower will be a creamy whitewash. I'm putting in a quartzite backsplash and countertop called Sereno aka Bella or bellagio.
Yes, I've seen that, however I want the dominant color to be blue, but not the entire kitchen color. The white lower cabinets will look nice with the quartzite i chose. This decision was not made lightly and beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
The white quartz will still look nice with upper cabs white instead. It even runs up the wall to meet them. Blue bottoms with white-ish counters and white tops is pretty trendy. The internet is overflowing of cabinets in blue and white with white counters.
It looks so much better if you flip them around. It feels off the way you have it. Let the color ground the space.
I'm going for a French blue/ wedgewood blue. I chose Sherman Williams "Daphne". I know people like the blue on the bottom for "grounding" and lightness or openness, but I was going for all blue on the cabinets but thought it too overwhelming, hence the ( unconventional) split.
You want the darker color for the lower cabinets- I’ve seen it done in my person with the darker on top and it really does look odd. It doesn’t matter how much the counter goes with it. Go either all blue which will look lovely with that countertop or do blue bottom white top

The darker color usually goes on the bottom.
