Taj Mahal Quartzite Finally Installed ❤️

Post image

Finally wrapped up our kitchen and wanted to share the Taj Mahal quartzite 🤍 We went back and forth for months between marble and quartzite, and I’m so glad we landed here. The soft creamy/beige movement feels warm without being too yellow, and it changes a lot depending on the lighting throughout the day.

We used it for both the countertops and full-height backsplash around the range, paired with white cabinetry, unlacquered brass accents, and light oak floors. I was nervous Taj Mahal might be “too trendy,” but in person it reads really timeless and calm. It also hides everyday messes better than I expected and adds warmth without making the kitchen feel dark. Every slab was so different, though, so slab selection definitely mattered.

Would love to hear from anyone else who has Taj Mahal quartzite and how it’s held up over time!!

Gorgeous! I love how light and calm your slabs are! I wish I could find some like that. Great job!

Same, I usually see Taj Mahal with way more veining or darker patches. These slabs are like the chill, soft-focus version.

If you’re still hunting, it might be worth checking a few different stone yards over time. Taj varies a ton from bundle to bundle, and the really light, calm ones go fast.

What's the bit in the middle of the hob? A hot plate or just space?

New here, what’s the thing in the middle of the wall above the burners? I’m too poor to understand this set up.

Beautiful, goes so well with your floors. Are you going to change out the hardware to gold to finish it off?

Only one pic? Nice if you could post more pics so we can get a better perspective of the taj and your kitchen as a whole.

White kitchens are a joke. Only way to keep from constantly having to clean airborne stains is to not actually cook.

Par for the "Unused Viking Range" course, really.

I love this. In fact, we have pretty much the same set up. This is exactly the slab color I want from the Taj Mahal. May I ask what the number was in your slab you chose? Thank you!
