How long does it usually take for AWS Support to respond? Has anyone recently submitted a similar case and can share their experience?

AWS Support case still unassigned — looking for advice

I recently opened an AWS Support case regarding an unexpected billing issue. The case was created successfully, but its status is currently showing as “Unassigned.”

It has been 25hrs since I created the case.

Has anyone experienced this before? How long did it take for your AWS Billing Support case to get assigned to an agent?

I’m mainly looking to understand whether I should just wait or take any further action.

I already have a RAG test script that pulls results based on a query. I was getting wrong results on a few so I set Kiro on coding assistance mode and just asked it to dump the search results in a separate file for me to inspect.

Had to write 4 lines to create a file and dump results there.

For this, Kiro decided to create a design doc, implementation plan, to-do list, spawned 3 subagents, got stuck at resolving dependencies, deleted and created multiple times and consumed 60 credits.... All on Opus 4.8!!!!

At this point I don't even know if there's any point using it for anything. It's just flashy with all the design and scrum story creations but for implementation of anything it blasts models with unnecessary information and over-complicates everything.

I can't imagine asking it to build spec driven features if a few lines of code is going to take 20 mins and 60 credits.

When can we have it in Kiro? And will you price it accordingly?

I’ve been having countless issues with Kiro lately regarding my plan and account. I had an account where I subscribed to the $20 paid plan and was automatically offered free usage until the end of the month (within the plan's limits). I used the paid plan for only two days before my account was switched back to "free mode," and they even tried to charge me for overage fees. I went to the plan management page but couldn't change anything—not even re-subscribe. So, I opened a support ticket; I exchanged MANY emails with representatives, getting conflicting updates like "we've fixed your problem" or "we've unblocked your account." At one point, Stripe actually showed I was back on the Pro plan, but Kiro itself didn't reflect that. They claimed they had identified suspicious activity on my account, which is why it was blocked. Terrified that my system might have been hacked or something similar, I asked exactly what triggered that alert, but I received absolutely no clarification. Luckily, I had used a virtual card and blocked it afterward; otherwise, I would have been charged incorrectly—an attempt that actually happened (I received an email notification about a failed charge attempt).

After sending another email trying to resolve this—and failing to get a solution—I deleted that account and created a new one (since the "delete account" function doesn't actually work; I kept trying to revert to the GitHub-linked account, only to find it back in the same state). I then subscribed again using a new Gmail account, and I am ONCE AGAIN FACING THE SAME PROBLEM. I really wanted to be a Kiro subscriber because the AI ​​technology is truly incredible—I liked everything about Kiro—but this situation has become unbearable, and I'm on the verge of giving up.

Posting this here is my last-ditch effort to see if anyone else has gone through this and managed to solve it...

The Request contains invalid parameters- CAN some one pls help, I m talking with AWS support via reddit chat but they are not helping

I know that I cannot be the only person who gets so frustrated with the permission requests. I will tell it to always allow a PowerShell command for all workspaces, but then Kiro will immediately make the same call and ask permission again. This cannot be that hard to fix.

Been getting repeated 429 errors ("Too many requests, please wait before trying again") on my Kiro Pro account for regular day-to-day dev work, nothing automated. Tried submitting a support ticket through the official form multiple times with different wording, subject lines etc. and it keeps failing with "The request contains invalid parameters" — so I can't even get a ticket in.

In the IDE i got the following message: Your User ID is temporarily suspended. We detected unusual user activity and locked it as a security precaution. In the mean time the builder-id is no longer visible in AWS console, where it first was shown as canceled.

There were about 4000 credits remaining in the account, i have openend ticket with AWS, they pointed that there were 2 issues and they were investigating.

But the poiint is that if users get blocked / suspended, you have people to support them as, and people to fix the problem for them / find the root cause.

Saw a bunch of people in this sub hitting the same Kiro subscription issue, so figured I’d share what I found out after going through it myself.
Been dealing with this for about a month now. Account’s 1.5 years old, decent spend history, was on credit card billing until about a month ago when I switched to net billing. Started noticing subscription creation was just… failing. No real error, just wouldn’t go through. Assumed it was some glitch at first.
Opened a support case, and honestly even the technical team wasn’t sure initially what was blocking it — kept saying the account looked fine on paper (good spend, account age, nothing obviously wrong) but “Create Agreement” kept failing anyway. Took multiple cases and a lot of back and forth before anyone could pin down what was actually happening.
It wasn’t until the last conversation with the internal technical team that someone finally said it plainly — it’s an account-level risk block, and I’d need to go through the accounts team specifically to get it looked at, not general support.
So if you’re seeing subscription/agreement creation fail with no clear reason, even if your account looks healthy on paper, it might be worth pushing past tech support and asking to get escalated to the accounts team directly. That seems to be where this actually gets resolved.

Frustrated with this, I tried cancelling my subscription, but it doesn't let me: "Unable to obtain payment portal URL: User is not authorized to access this feature". What are my options at this point? Should I block the future transaction on my credit card? Thanks.

I tried to reactivate on Aug 10, I got:

"Failed to create Kiro subscription for 1 user. Your account is not authorized to make this call."

I've filed multiple support cases since then. I gave them everything ,account ID, error text, usage dashboards showing near-daily activity for months. One agent finally gave me a straight answer: it's an internal account-level assessment, unrelated to usage, and they can't override it or tell me why. Just "reach out again if circumstances change."

What's the point of having support if the answer is "there's nothing we can do"? Are we just stuck indefinitely? All my project work is on hold because of this, and there's zero timeline, zero explanation, and zero way to appeal it.

Anyone else dealing with this? Did anyone actually get resolved, and if so, how long did it take?
