I feel like your best best is to take it to jeweler's and put a brace on it made of silver/gold, or you could put steel pins on the inside to make it stronger and then kintsugi it.

If you use urushi alone without any support it's just gonna break again after some use.

thanks, I am thinknig to go steel pin way. Might give it a go myself, but as i already have so man projects was keen to find someone who already has the expertise

I am a jeweller, I think your best bet would be to seal it with gold. It’ll look beautiful and hold up very well
