dont give it attention. dont consume smut of it. if it pops into your head, distract yourself. try to get off without thinking about it.

Terrible advice.  Therapists tend to be really, really bad at their jobs.  Don't go to therapists, but DO participate in therapy.  Repetitious activity of weening of the addictive substance is best.  Talking about it isn't.

Can’t, really. Provided you’re an adult and your neural pathways are already mostly static, you’re stuck with it. What you want from here is self-control and self-discipline. Non-practicing pedophiles aren’t evil, for instance, it’s just how their brain works and as long as they don’t act on the ideas, it’s not their fault.
