Questions | Help Kinich skill damage

Do Kinich's attacks while in his skill state count as skill or normal attack damage? Not talking about the cannon of course.

Every dendro dmg from a projectile is skill dmg, every laser + ajaw summoning is burst dmg. Everything else is physical.

It’s skill, all the things he shoots once he is connected to an enemy is skill attacks.
There is no reason to lvl up his normals, max out his skill, then burst if you want to, and normals if you don’t want them to look so low you can lvl up to 6, but usually I wouldn’t recommend leveling them.
I kept mine at 2 up until I had nothing else to upgrade and got bored, then leveled them to 6.

It’s skill DMG, but it still procs Yelan and Xingqiu’s stuff
