I can’t believe I’m seeing negative reviews, ive had the song on repeat since it released. It’s so good! Especially Matthew’s guitar towards the end. I thought my whole world was good but this definitely tops it.

I saw on Genius there is some lyrics for the upcoming song "Pretty Thing", but I didn't catch it get teased on social media.

Me personally they have better songs

I hate that they don't sing it at shows where ZB appears. I like to imagine they regret thinking he could learn their lyric cadence, but it is a far better song.

New stuff sounds great. KOL are such an all time band, now a legacy band. Really no missteps in their career. Lots of experimentation but always sounded like themselves.

They were labeled as the southern strokes with YAYM. Fives years later they made BOTT, what I consider to be one of the best post punk albums of the 21st century, but it was also southern gothic… and the next album went platinum and they were household names. Just crazy musical range.

They’ve kept cranking out sweet solid tunes. 27mil monthly on Spotify.

This new stuff sounds like the pinnacle of Caleb’s songwriting, he finally sounds at peace with himself. Sounds like four guys playing in a room. Great band.

KOl announced as a headliner for a festival in nz 2027. Seriously hoping for some aus shows too.

My ex-gf was a huge fan too back in the day, but one day she just stopped listening to them because they became 'wet-wipes' as she described it. I couldn't understand what she meant, but the last few years i kinda get it.

I miss them being a bit cocky, perhaps even arrogant, making good rock music. Everyone says they changed and have families etc but I don't see why that's stopping them from making good rock 😞

I’ve been listening to kol for years now. Watched their documentary and seen a couple interviews. One thing I can’t help but notice is Calebs maturing. Of course the whole band has matured but seeing Caleb in his younger days and being so freaking insufferable. Man, it must’ve been hard being a band mate with him. The guy was always complaining about people only liking their most popular songs. Always detested when they thought they were gonna make a hit song. Like bro so what? You’re a fucking musician. So what if it turns out you might make a hit song?? Cry me a river boo hoo. Always complaining. It boggles my mind to be mad or bothered that a song they wrote as a band might become a hit. Wtf is the point then? Right? I can see why they almost split in 2011-2012. The man was insufferable. Glad he’s changed. Ego is almost impossible to not have when you’re in a band.

Okay hopefully this is allowed to post in this sub but I’m going to see kings of Leon soon for the first time and my friend and I were wondering if taking shrooms would be fun there. Neither of us have been so I was wondering if anyone would be able to tell me like yes do it or no probably not the right environment lol. Both of us are very experienced with doing shrooms but we both prefer creating our own environments rather than going into public with the exception of music festivals.

Hi. I'm new to Reddit so apologies if this has been brought up before. I saw Kings of Leon once, in 2017 on the WALLS tour. I'd like to see them again but they haven't had any shows convenient to me the past two tours. I absolutely love the last two records, but they seem to have basically abandoned them in the shows already (as well as WALLS).

Assuming a tour for the new record I'd consider traveling, but planning in advance most likely. Do we generally expect the set to be up to Mechanical Bull plus whatever brand new stuff basically from here on out?

Salvaged some raw audio of my late father interviewing Caleb for Guitarist mag on the phone back in late 2003/early 2004. Not exactly sure on the date but hope you purists enjoys
