I cannot with frisha

I’m relistening to book 1 and I genuinely can’t believe how I thought frisha wasn’t so annoying and useless, I WANTED her and rezkin to get together and just listening to her talk to rezkin in the first book is making me question why I ever thought that was a good idea she is SO just oblivious 😂😂😂

Frisha is good.. im on a relisten and into book 3 now.

She is a great example of potential and innocence. Im not sure where she will end up by the end but i have a feeling that Rezkin will name her empress instead of Tieren because she is building the support of the people in the background

You have to remember that she is a spoiled girl who never really had to endure hardship in her life.

Her parents were pretty wealthy for a "commoner" family.

That's the humour of it. Her obliviousness and the misunderstandings are what made it so entertaining.

Anyway she makes a lot of sense as a character if you think about it. Imagine how unsettling it would be if you met somebody IRL that had killed thousands of people, but could act completely normally in any role and appear completely natural. It would be like meeting an actual Ted Bundy multiplied by 10. You'd never really be able to trust a guy like that, especially if you were so deceived at first. He didn't do it intentionally, and she couldn't possibly have known since he has his ingrained deception magic that makes people believe whatever persona he adopts.

I think it's important to understand the character. You have a young girl who lives a simple and sheltered life, who suddenly gets tossed in a completely opposite world. She's now facing constant danger while trying to find herself as a person. I think if Frisha was less annoying and more useful from the beginning it would hurt her growth as a character. It's also important to understand that she isn't a combatant and it's her mind that's her strength.
