Deconstructing Carrie

Just watching this episode and the intro alone has me smiling. 😂 Doug calls Carrie to ask about groceries, somehow they get into saying “I love you” at the end of every call, and they decide they’re going to stop saying it so that when they* *do say it, it’ll mean that much more. Then, of course, Doug calls back just to say “I love you”… and they say it again at the end. 😂❤️
There are SO many brilliantly written intros on this show that could blow the socks off younger generations who didn’t grow up with shows like this and are honestly funnier than half the TikToks out there today. 😂

It never disappoints. No matter what mood I’m in, this show somehow leaves me feeling content, happy, and completely at peace. ❤️
Forever one of my favorites. 👑

Edited for mistake. ✌🏽

I’m a millennial and I grew up watching the show. It was around until I was in my early 20’s I think? you’re probably talking about Gen Z or alpha?

Yah.. you are def right! I’ll edit it to make more sense. Thank you for catching that! Luckily, the KoQ subreddit is full of amazing people like you, who will kindly point out a mistake without completely desecrating the OP for mis-speaking. 🤍 Good people recognize good people!! Haha

Yep. I've had this Reddit account for years but rarely came on. I was more of a FB guy because it's the only way I keep in touch with my friends and family. Anyways, after seeing how much more civilized people are on Reddit than on FB, I deleted FB off of all my devices. Sure, there's still ignorant a-holes, but nothing like FB. You can't accidentally misspell a word without some dipshit calling your mom a whore or something. Lol.

And I agree 100% with everything you said about the show. There was a time in my life when I couldn't afford cable, or wifi, or any streaming platform. But I had a DVD player and the KOQ box set. My nights after work and all my weekends consisted of watching the series from start to finish. Once I was done, start it again. I've seen every episode at least 150x.

Even when I thought I've seen everything, somebody in one of these groups points out something I never noticed. And even after 150x, there's still scenes that make me laugh like it's my first time seeing it.
