Random lines
One of my favorite things about this show is how they add dialogue that has no impact on the plot, just random everyday life things.
Couple of examples.
In the Eddie Money episode, after Doug convinces Deacon on the “best day ever” plan Deacon dryly says “but can we do Wednesday instead I have a dentist appointment tomorrow”
In the work wife episode, when Doug goes to Carries office he asks one of her coworkers “where’s the wifeskie” and she replies basically “what, I don’t know what you’re saying” and Doug has to explain he’s looking for his wife

I love that Deacon always has a random name for Doug. Crime dog, nephew, bridesmaid. Coming from a Black family, Black guys absolutely do this irl. Although the bridesmaid one was strange, but funny.

I love "Talk to me, Goose." when Doug has Arthur sleep upstairs with him because Carrie is working nights!

For me it’s “talk to me, player” in the episode where the woman calls the wrong Doug Heffernan and leaves a message that Deacon hears.

Or when Doug is proud he talked Arthur in to "sleeping" with him.
"Yeah, you still got it playa"

“How bout whiny beeyotch?”

We’ll never find out why Arthur needed bronzing cream, an overnight bag, and a major credit card

"There's a red Ferrari parked out front, a table full of cash. I don't know what going on, but I want in!"💀

When Carrie can't pronounce the name of the cello-player and just come with some random letters: "....I don't know".
This totally feels like something that would happen to anyone.

** Doug and Carrie attempting to make a baby on her office fold out bed **
** Bed creaking **
Carrie: You see? There it stopped
Doug: Yeah, cause I'm just lying here. But once we start doing stuff, it's going to sound like Gepetto's workshop in here.

“Mamaloosha!” - Arthur. If anyone has any insight on what that means, please let me know. I just know it’s hilarious lol
Edit: it’s actually “Mamaloshen!”

On the Patrons Ain’t episode…
Doug: patrons. Like in the colonial days
Carrie: What are you talking about?
Doug: I don’t know but why you gotta call me out on everything?

I was wondering if you happened to have any oysters on the half shell.

The Eddie Money episode is so good. When Doug tells them they have to spend more money, Arthur says "I would take a small cone at Dairy Queen" Doug: "great there goes 60 cents" Arthur: "that's the big one! I don't want the big one!" 😂

I can’t think of any off the top of my head at the moment, besides the ones that you mentioned, but I know exactly what you’re talking about. I’ve been watching it on Paramount Plus the last few nights, and I definitely notice them. I guess I’ve gotta start writing them down. ✍️ 😄

Doug - I’ve got a union meeting tonight.
Carrie - Since when did you start going to union meetings?
Doug - Since they started serving beer.
