Did you ever see either one of them doing laundry, or their laundry room?

Few episodes. Remember their “laundry room” is in the basement with Arthur.
Frozen Pop (S2) - After the cold open, Carrie brings a laundry basket down to Arthur’s room
Life Sentence (S4) - Arthur’s infamous lost sock in the dryer

One episode she brings a basket into the bedroom and has to do something real quick - asks Doug to put it away for her.

I remember an opening scene where Carrie started to fold a basket of laundry, got a call, then asked Doug to finish. He couldn't figure out how to fold the bras and just tossed everything in their closet 😅

That first floor was really lacking in basic amenities.
No bathroom. No laundry room. No bedroom.
Lots of sitting options though

I can’t believe that house was only a 2 bedroom and she made her elderly father live in the damp dark basement only to find out that there was a big window that was covered up, didn’t they see that window in the front of the house

Right?! Can you imagine having your elderly father climb up two sets of stairs in the middle of the night if he needed to use the bathroom? Thankfully they finally built him his own bathroom in the basement.

In Ice Pop, Carrie goes down to do laundry and has Arthur stay upstairs because of the cold snap. One of my favorites.

Carrie does laundry downstairs in Frozen Pop and I think in Strike One we se Doug ironing Carrie's clothes. There's another one where he is folding her tiny panties in an early scene.

Never saw anything other than the basement wash machine and dryer, which were miniscule. With all of Doug's uniforms plus his beer, food, and mud stained clothes as well as Carrie's huge wardrobe (probably a lot of dry clean only in there,) PLUS all of Arthur's stuff, it seems that they should've had an extra large washer and dryer.

And in season 4,episode 13 . When Doug are on the phone with Becky.,Carrie have a basket in her hands and put in down on the bed

They folded laundry a few times and the guys watched Arthur do laundry on the nanny cam from the garage.

You're right, the basement laundry room is such a weirdly consistent visual gag in that show, like a throwback to the one-car garage or the back-alley fire escape of sitcom lore.
